SOLVENT OF SOCIETY
Victoria, B.C: Solvent of Society is an Alternative rock band coming out of Victoria British
Columbia, Canada. Known for their sold out performances at the annual Moonfest Festival, they also
hold house band status at Howler's in Ucluelet.
In March of 2015 Solvent of Society released their EP titled “S.O.S” (A 4 song release) which has had great feedback and more than 1000 plays on internet radio to date. With songs such as Glory and
Flipside that grab your attention right away, this band is a must on your playlist! The guys have been
working hard to complete their upcoming LP “Throw The World Away” which will be released this
summer featuring 9 tracks including a re-recording of their single Glory from their last release. The
band plans to release a series of videos for this LP to accompany single releases throughout the summer of 2017.

Be sure to follow Solvent of Society's dates:
• May 18th Unity Rally/Rise Up Victoria: Social rally at Centennial Square in Victoria from
6:30pm-7pm. This is followed by a free concert at Lucky Bar from 8pm-1am featuring
Aviator Shades.
• May 26th Rise Up Duncan: The Duncan Showroom hosts Solvent of Society, Secondhand
Habit, æsc & embla. This event is all in support of keeping the Duncan Showroom
running in times of financial trouble. Tickets are $10, doors are at 7pm
• June 16th Single/Music Video release for the Title track to our album Throw the World
Away.

Solvent of Society plans heating up!

HELLO HUMANS!!

Welcome to the June addition of the Solvent of Society blog, happy to have your eyes. This blog post is all about our recent events here on Vancouver Island, our future plans, and a recap of our biggest social media news. Shout out to Rosner Management Services (RMS) for giving us this platform to share this news with you. We formally apologize for not updating you on these events sooner, our only excuse is excessive rocking.  

  

First and foremost WHOLEY SHOWS! When we made our last blog post on here (http://ow.ly/JXhU301avF9) we never anticipated to be playing much shows in the first half of the year. However, through connections with local musicians and groups supporting music, we landed the following shows:

Friends of Music Society Showcase

Save the Duncan Showroom Fundraiser-Over $2000 raised 

Our first Campbell River Performance with Az-Real and Others

Our first Victoria Show with Rosner Management Services 

And A Battle of the Bands in Port Alberni thanks to The Zatt Zoo Project 

AND THAT’S NOT ALL FOLKS!! Remember that record we mentioned before? We’ve officially started recording! We have plans for a release that will hopefully shake the foundations of something, but for now we can officially state it’s in the works. Hello Humans !

HELLO HUMANS! Welcome to our blog, glad to have you. We are so excited to be officially signed on with Rosner Management Services (RMS). Everyone here is amazingly supportive and we can’t wait to see what happens in the future. Now let us introduce our selves and what’s new in our world.

 

We are a 4 piece Alternative Grunge band from Victoria BC. We have been working on our music for over a year and have accumulated 14 songs. We are active on all our social media outlets (listed below) and have reached over 4000 people online so far. We have played several venues on Vancouver Island and are working hard at expanding to off the island thanks to RMS. We are also working with the media company Stay Heavy Studios to produce quality photos of our shows, play through videos, recording, music videos, artwork, and endless emotional and practical support.

 

This year so far we have been focusing on our content and social media as much as possible. We can’t wait to start production on our first full length record. We are in communication with Mount Wells recording and Production to produce 10 songs with a planned release date for the second half of the year. The album name and full track listing will be released later this Month so make sure to follow us everywhere for current updates.
