RISE UP TOUR 2017 BLASTS OFF IN MAY!

Artists across Canada and some from around the world are preparing for they're shows on the upcoming cross Canada RISE UP TOUR 2017. For those of you wondering what this is all about, here it is.

Rise up is put together BY artists FOR artists. Some artists are playing only their hometown and some are playing many of the shows all across the country. It is all part of gaining mass exposure for their shows, working together, to expanding their contacts, venues, social media, sponsors, other artists to work with and creating an overall "bigger story" than simply embarking on a tour by themselves. It created a lot of networking and content for them along the way, so they can expand it on the next tour.

Rosner Management Services plays a role in helping to organize, do overall promotion and direct each artists needs along the way, whether that means publicists, radio, social media, help in getting sponsors, etc. There is also something else happening here! Next spring, the RISE UP TOUR 2018 will actually be a TV show!!!   Modelled somewhere between a documentary and a reality TV show, 10-12 episodes of the tour will be filmed for syndication on TV and the internet. This will provide massive worldwide exposure for the artists. In a sense, the tour is building towards something much bigger and the artists have this time to work out the bugs. the TV show will be fashioned differently in format, but will basically be the same, starting in Victoria BC in early May and ending in the Maritimes near the end of June.

Make sure you get to know these artists now, as they embark on this journey and build their careers. You can find all the dates being added to the tour, on this Facebook link below. There will also be featured artists on this Facebook page throughout April, leading up to the tour, so invite your friends to join the page  and everyday you will be introduced to one of the artists music or video and get a taste of your new favorite artists!!!!         https://www.facebook.com/pg/RISEUPTOUR2017/about/

MEET THE NEW LEADER IN INTERNATIONAL TOURING FOR ARTISTS!

Meet the new world Leader in international touring for artists. Some things NEVER change. It is important to be seen if you want to move forward. That is always the best remedy for being stale. Artists cannot afford to remain in one spot for long. They must be moving and creating connections, fans and new opportunities. There is still no better way to achieving everything you need, than touring. A lot of times, an artist needs to make headway in a country other than their own and then it leads to open doors in their homeland. This is why it is an important aspect of getting your music out there. Are you a "Facebook only" kind of artist ? Here is a link to see the kind of connections and experience that is behind this. Contact Stephen Wrench or Mark Rosner for more information. Everything you need in all aspects of support is there as well, but when it needs to START with a tour, call World Artist Tours!

Solvent of Society plans heating up!

HELLO HUMANS!!

Welcome to the June addition of the Solvent of Society blog, happy to have your eyes. This blog post is all about our recent events here on Vancouver Island, our future plans, and a recap of our biggest social media news. Shout out to Rosner Management Services (RMS) for giving us this platform to share this news with you. We formally apologize for not updating you on these events sooner, our only excuse is excessive rocking.

First and foremost WHOLEY SHOWS! When we made our last blog post on here (http://ow.ly/JXhU301avF9) we never anticipated to be playing much shows in the first half of the year. However, through connections with local musicians and groups supporting music, we landed the following shows:

Friends of Music Society Showcase
Save the Duncan Showroom Fundraiser-Over $2000 raised
Our first Campbell River Performance with Az-Real and Others
Our first Victoria Show with Rosner Management Services
And A Battle of the Bands in Port Alberni thanks to The Zatt Zoo Project

AND THAT’S NOT ALL FOLKS!! Remember that record we mentioned before? We’ve officially started recording! We have plans for a release that will hopefully shake the foundations of something, but for now we can officially state it’s in the works. As promised here are the official track names for the record, keep in mind they are not in any sort of order:

Glory
Spell Me
Without a Doubt
What I know
Sea of Corruption
On Trial
March of the Penguins
Punker’s Paradise
But At What Cost
and our newest track, Throw the World Away!

Speaking of that new track, we have released a YouTube Video for it here: http://ow.ly/X78v301aw0P. As for other social media news we are happy to announce we are growing! It’s to connect with new friends and musicians in person, then transfer that to online as well. We have included all our social media links below if you want to stalk us! Thanks for catching up with us everyone. *Be sure to mark the this date on your calendars, October 21st* SOS will be playing Victoria for what could possibly be our biggest show to date!! Stay tuned!!

our journey as independant artists, we feel it is important to surround
ourselves with: like minded musicians, great fans, intelligent managers,

we otherwise would not have the benefit of experiencing. Please take the
time to check out our new songs, we had a great time putting them
together, and hope you will enjoy listening to them. We have started a
Gofundme campaign to help us reach our personal goal of traveling across
Canada to bring our music to those we otherwise would have a hard time
reaching out too. If you reside in Western Canada check us out on the
fall Rise Up Tour along with the other great artists under the Rosner

Lance King getting great results in worldwide Radio !

My song Love You All The Way was released on Feb 1st making it onto the Charts the week of Feb. 6th. Reaching #154 on the “US National Top 200 all Genres Chart” and #56 on the “US National Top 100 Songs by an Independent Artist Chart”. Love You All The Way reached the US National top 50 Country Chart at #24 the week of Feb. 13th. Love You All The Way spent a total of 11 weeks on the (DRT) charts peaking at #70 on the Top 200 US National all Genre Chart, # 16 on the US National Top 100 songs by and Independent Artist Charts and #23 on the US National Top 50 Country Chart.

Driftin’ was released April 11th  and reached the charts the week of April 16th.   This week Driftin’ placed #164 on this weeks US National Top 200 all Genres Chart, #12 on the US National Top 100 songs by an Independent Artists Chart and #45 on the  US National Top 50 Country Chart. Besides charting for 16 consecutive weeks in The United States  with these 2 songs they have both charted well in Europe on “The Euro Indie Music Charts”. That is a chart that features only independent artists based on airplay from several thousand radio stations across Europe. This week Driftin’ is #61 on Euro Indie Music Chart, Love You All The Way spent 2 weeks in the Top 20 on that chart.

Both songs were recorded in Nashville using musicians who also record and back up major Country Music artist such as Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum. Both songs were produced by veteran record producer Stephen Wrench from the independent record label “Musik and Film Records”.  Stephen has produced 46 gold or platinum records for various major Country Music and Country Rock artists including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr. and Travis Tritt. Stephen has produced 5 additional songs for me which were also recorded in Nashville. We are planning to release the 5 remaining songs over the next 18 months. On the strength of the success of the first 2 songs extensive touring plans are in the works. All these songs are original written by myself, Ed King with 1 song written by Stephen.

All the DRT charts are available for download by going to the Digital Radio Tracker website and searching the charts section. I am now in the planning stages of a tour throughout Texas in November!!!!!

Julie Curly updates!

This Time: "Covering" songs, Rise Up Tour & Studio Time

As Bob Dylan once said…"The Times They Are A Changin'"…But we are not in 1964 anymore…So more than ever, the indie artist has to be everywhere & do it all, with (often) so little money. Passion doesn't come with a price, so I keep going, for the love of music. And I try to "cover", let's say explore all the fields music has to offer.

I'm really excited about the month of June, for us it's the beginning of the summer, with great shows and exciting projects to come! This begin with the Rise Up Tour, in Montreal on June 2nd at Bar Le Ritz PDB a great venue for the indie music scene. On June 5th we travel to Quebec City for a show at Le District St-Joseph and on June 10th, we come back to Montreal to play as a duo at Taverne Reeves. June 10th will be a pretty buzzy day, since I do a live radio interview over the phone with a music station in Chicago and on this same day, June 10th, we launch 2 albums of covers, available on digital download on iTunes and other digital stores! I can say that from the 24 songs we cover there is plenty of choice for any music lovers from the 60's to the Top 40! And yes there is a Bob Dylan cover to stay consistant with my blog article! This being said the original stuff is still going strong, currently in the studio to record our next EP, thanks to FACTOR for the funding & to those who believe in us giving and sharing our crowdfunding campaign! http://www.juliecurly.com/crowdfunding-financement

AfterThoughts

Well, the Rise Up Tour has wrapped up, and all in all it seemed to be a total success! The reviews ive read from all of the RMS artists is all been positive and everyone involved had a great time. So badass. I had a great time too! I ended up doing the tour as a solo act, with just me and my guitar, and I sure learnt alot in that!

First thing I learnt: I need a guitar case, and, an electric guitar will never sound the way an acoustic sounds, so, for future solo acts, no more using an electric, its gotta be an actual acoustic

#2: Always double check your time slot like the second u show up, during the tour, I almost missed my first set in Vancouver completely but managed to get 4 songs in after all my confusion (also learnt in vancouver always GET REST BEFORE A PERFORMANCE)

I also almost missed my set in Calgary, I was told I would be on at midnight, so showed up at 1120 ish, and then got told the last act went on at 1130!!! Learnt: Show up earlier for future shows and stay there even if my ADD is making want to go do other things til i have to go on... I did though, end up playing at midnight in Calgary, and got my full set in and ended up having a total blast... Oh and I also missed my set in Saskatoon, I thought i went on at 11 showed up just before 11 and apperently i was on at 10! I ended up still going on at around midnight, but people who had came to see me play ended up leaving because they thought i wasnt coming...DOH

#3) Dont touch anything that isnt yours. All I did was grab a mic stand to move it and i ended up snapping it in hf on stage...let the sound dudes move everything...NOTED!

#4) Drinking Fire is kind of fun, i should have a drink of flames before i start every set
There is a lot more I learnt but these were the big ones! Lots to work on for the future Which I am hoping involves more touring beceause despite the mistakes and etc its so much fun!!!!
Cant wait to do that all again
