Jackson Reed-It's All Coming Together

Quite a bit has happened since christmas. School started up for me once again, and I just got back from quite the trip. Over the weekend I went up to Edmonton with my buddy to see my Calgary Flames play the Oilers in the new Rogers Place. This trip was very personal for me, as a huge hockey fan. The Battle of Alberta brings out the wild animal in me, I despise the Oilers with a passion that’s as big as my passion for music. Just as big is my passion for the Flames, and me and my friend knew we had to go on this mission up there. It was only my second time in Edmonton in my whole life, so it was interesting to get to see the city a little better than I had previously, I wasn’t missing much in my opinion. After spending saturday afternoon at West Edmonton Mall, we made the trek downtown to the arena. When I first stepped inside it and seeing how massive it is was very impressive, but knowing it was all for the Oil made it very unlikable for a guy like me. Going down and sitting in the front row before warmups made me miss the Saddledome back home. The dome’s got this history, this character that Rogers Place just didn’t have in my mind, despite being much more impressive technologically and aesthetically. We brought a poster with us that read “Saddledome’s still better, Go Flames Go!”, with a photo of Matthew Tkachuk (our agitator and already a hated guy in Edmonton despite being a rookie) with angel wings and a halo, and a photo of Connor McDavid, with the oilers logo replaced with a muffin cause that’s what he is. The boys came out and a few guys like Dougie Hamilton, Sam Bennett, and Matt Stajan noticed our poster. I hope we made them feel a little more comfortable knowing they had backup in there. Then we went over to where the Oilers were warming up and put up our poster. It ticked off their goon Zack Kassian, who sakted towards us glaring right at us while we glared back unfazed. Then the Muffinboy McDavid, looked at our poster then looked us right in the eye. He then spent the next couple minutes trying not to look at us while we stared him down, glaring angrily. This was probably the highlight of the trip for me. Then we went up to our seats up higher and the game began. It was a back and forth affair, that ended with the Oilers winning in the shootout. It was a piss off for sure to lose a game so tight in the shootout. I wasn’t too impressed with how the fans acted the whole game. They would boo both teams when there wasn’t a ton of action going on. When our best player Johnny Gaudreau was taking his shootout attempt, the fans behind us were yelling for him to kill himself and using other foul language. When leaving, some of them heckled us on the way out. I’ve never seen this behaviour at Flames games in the dome. Oilers fans are sure cocky despite having been the worst team for a decade, and getting lucked into getting a generational talent. All in all, losing made it feel so disappointing to drive all the way up to Edmonton to lose. But there’s nothing to do now, and I can take solace in the fact that the Oilers won’t be making it far in the playoffs if they don’t get any scoring from their players besides McMuffin. Now I’m back in Calgary continuing to practice guitar, and working on putting a band together for the rise up tour. Hopefully that comes together soon, I know it will.

Thanks,
Jackson Reed

John Lennon - InMemoriam

I was born the day John Lennon died. I’m an idealist, like John. I don’t have his talent, but I wanted to spread the word about his poetic message and music once again, and pay an humble tribute to this great artist and the Beatles!

December 8th 2016 was the 36th anniversary of John Lennon tragic death. To celebrate his memory and musical contribution, I'm proud to offer you our studio recording of Can You Imagine (The Killing of John Lennon) a song that will be on our next album, Flower Power Soul, due Spring 2017. Hope this song warm you heart, on this cold December day.
Listen to the song Can You Imagine (The Killing of John Lennon) here

Many thanks to those who took part in creating this song: Monique Dumas (composition), Jean-Yves Cardin (piano, arrangements), Robert Massé (drums), Dennis Pavia (programming), Gilbert Cantin (mixing), Harris Newman (mastering). (Thanks mom, being the co-inspiration for this song;)

Wish you a happy new year!
May the legacy of the Fab Four continues to shine bright in 2017!

Cander-Making sense in the twisted end

The roller coaster that was 2016 has come to a screeching halt. Gripping the rails beneath the seats trying desperately not to come UN-hinged and fly off the track. My biggest accomplishments as an artist came this year and my lowest points came with it as well. One night im opening up for an underground rap legend that i first listened too 15 years ago, getting respect and even freestyling with him, the next night im on a clouded bender trying to make the night before never end. It makes sense though, it always does in its twisted way. The higher you get the bigger the drop and if you cant get up from it and learn then your never going to climb. They want positive facts about my accomplishments but i prefer the gift of artist insight instead. I did this, I did that, but did i learn about myself and how will i use that for 2017?
Witnessing how amazing your life can be when your truly focused is the most incredible feeling ever. Watching yourself slowly destroy or attempt to sabotage that progress is the complete opposite. It has been a good year for self improvement and awareness. I'm happy that the Rosner team is working with Canadian mental health charities right now, we all need guidance and its obviously a topic i dwell on constantly, hopefully i can help them with what i've been going through and how i've survived.
Remember that even though this year in review, conveniently compartmentalized in a small section of our lives, is only the lead in to the next year and the one after that and so forth. It never ends and it will continue to move you along the journey, all you need is a dream and a breath to stay on track...
_thank you

TICKETSCENE.CA AND ROSNER MANAGEMENT SERVICES ANNOUNCE NATIONAL SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT

Rosner Management Services is proud to announce that it has reached an agreement for national sponsorship with Ticketscene.ca. This will bring national exposure and promotion to it's artists year round. The RMS "RISE UP TOUR" will be featured this spring on Ticketscene.ca! The Rise Up Tour has been growing steadily across Canada for two years and now and soon  tickets for any Rise Up Tour event will be available online!

Here is how it works:
With over 200 shows happening right across the country in May and June 2017 as part of the Rise Up Tour in Canada, each artist is hosting a hometown show, plus they are performing in other cities along the tour route. In their hometown shows, tickets are available through the artist directly as of April 2, 2017, OR online through Ticketscene!. Tickets for ANY Rise Up Tour show across Canada, can be purchased online through Ticketscene.ca starting March 1, 2017. Online tickets will be sold like a festival, so first come first serve, for $12. The ticket buyer will be asked to specify which artist they are going to see and that way the specific artist will get paid the ticket money. In this way, artists doing multiple cities can promote the show in those cities and either have their fans purchase at the door, or online, to ensure their entry into the show AND that the ticket money will go to the artist of their choice. It's that easy!

Venues and tour schedules are now being booked and each show will go up onto our social media as they are booked. In this way, tickets can begin being sold online even before the venue information is up on the various pages, because as we mentioned, there will only be ONE link online for the entire Rise Up Tour and a ticket purchased for Rise Up Tour, is good for admission into ANY (ONE) Rise Up Tour show across Canada!

We look forward to an amazing turn out across the Country! Here are the links to Ticketscene and Rosner Management Services. Stay tuned for more information and join us on Facebook and Twitter
